San Michele “Asp Viper”

Introducing the brand new one of a kind San Michele “Asp Viper” Sicilian –Italian style fighting razor (razolu).
 This magnificent piece is made by the same old world craftsmen who hand makes the San Michele Froslone knife which has been extremely well received and loved by all who have been lucky enough to own one, saying it’s the crown jewel of all their auto knives.

First of all this is not your little dinky average straight razor . It’s a large robust razor which measures 11 inches in overall length with a hand forged highly sharpened blade of four inches long’ with a beautiful buffalo horn, brass lined large curved hand fitting handle for a great sturdy grip. Look at the comparative photos of a normal straight razor with the asp viper. No comparison!

The viper snake scale hand engraving goes along the top side edge of the blade and the end of the tail of the razor actually highly curls up as a threatened snake can do when threatened . This also aids in openings and securing the grip as you can see in the photos. Asp viper- S. M. is hand etched on every blade.

Please note the special features

1. The blade comes to a sharp point on the top edge for thrusts primarily used to disarm an attacker trying to stab you. This strike is called the kiss of the viper.
   
   
2. For the first time you will see on the lower front edge of the blade a row of sharp “teeth like “serrations”. These are termed the fangs of the viper having the serrations ensures an effective self-defense cut.
   In San Michele this razor is not designed to simply flip around for show or drills. It is a back hand defense guard when using the knife in the front hand and the preferred grip is the “punch (pugnu) grip” as shown to parry and create a disarm of the attacker’s knife or other weapon in their hand and also counter slash and strike, as needed for self-defense.
   
   
3. The pinch grip can also be used for more range. Even with this grip, the curled tail acts as a stabilizer to help prevent it from turning in your hand with use.
